Vivian Maier
Vivian Maier was born in New York in 1926 and she past a way in 2009. During her childhood, she moved several times between the U.S. and France, because she had a french mother who had relatives in France. She was an American photographer who made photographs of people who did things on their daily basis. She is rather called a street photographer.
My opinion
I really like her style. Just photographing people in their everyday life. That shows us the beauty of life. For example she photographed a man being arrested or playing children. What I also like is that all her photos are black and white photos. You can fill in the colours yourself.
Her artworks
There are no photographs, where anyone looks right into Maier's camera. The people on the photographs always looked somewhere else. Vivian Maier used a two-eyed SLR camera. She also made several books, containing her photographs. She took more than 150,000 photographs during her lifetime.
